Course Overview
ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor develops the knowledge and skills needed to assess an information security management system against ISO/IEC 27001 requirements.
The course covers audit principles, preparation, evidence gathering, audit activities, reporting, nonconformities, follow-up and audit-program management, with reference to recognised management-system auditing practices.
It is aimed at professionals who conduct, manage, support or prepare for ISMS audits and assurance activities.

Prerequisites
A fundamental understanding of ISO/IEC 27001 and information security management principles is recommended. Prior audit, assurance or management-system experience is helpful but the course is structured to develop the required audit approach.

Exam: PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor exam
Duration: 3 hours
Type: Multiple-choice for the current English exam; PECB may retain different exam types for some language versions.
Format: Open book for the current English multiple-choice exam
Questions / assessment: 80 for the current English multiple-choice exam
Exam languages: Multiple languages are available. Because PECB can vary exam type by language, use the current List of PECB Exams as the live source before publishing a complete language list.
Delivery: PECB supports online and paper-based examinations where shown in its exam list.
Exam / certification terms: Exam and certification terms should follow the current PECB course page and Examination Rules and Policies. Passing the exam enables a candidate to apply for the credential appropriate to their experience; it does not by itself confer the Lead Auditor credential.

After successfully completing the exam, candidates can apply for one of the credentials below. The certificate is issued once all requirements related to the selected credential are met.
